Drug arrest on Arthur Ridge Road in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Jason Back along with Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested John V. Miller, age 53, Highway 1376 W., East Bernstadt, on Thursday afternoon, November 19, 2015, at approximately 3:13 PM.

The arrest occurred off Arthur Ridge Road, approximately 6 miles north of London while deputies were attempting to locate a wanted person in that area when they encountered this subject.

This subject dropped a bag containing 2.2 grams of suspected crystal meth in an attempt to conceal it. In addition, this subject was found in possession of oxymorphone pills in a plastic bag and a sum of US currency.

In addition, deputies determined this subject had previously been convicted of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree.

John V. Miller was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – methamphetamine; trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense; tampering with physical evidence; and persistent felony offender I.

John V. Miller was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
