Injury traffic crash on US 25 E in Laurel County

LONDON, KY – On Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at approximately 10:34 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11 London, received a report of a two vehicle traffic crash on US 25 E at the intersection of the I-75 southbound off ramp.

Upon arrival, Trooper Millard Root determined that a 1994 Ford Bronco, operated by James F. Jones, 37, of Woodbine, was traveling southbound exiting off I-75 when he struck a 2012 Nissan pick-up truck operated by Douglas G. Holt, 65, of Corbin, which was traveling westbound on US 25 E.

Jones was air lifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. His passenger Natasha L. Melton, 26, of Woodbine was transported to the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin to be treated for her injuries.

Holt was air lifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Alcohol and drug use is unknown at this time.

Trooper Root is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Jack Riley, Laurel EMS and the West Knox Fire Department.
