KSP Charges Boyle Co. Man With Crimes Related To Child Sexual Exploitation

(Danville, Ky.) — A Boyle County man was arrested on charges related to child sexual exploitation Tuesday after Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.

Shannon Miller, 52, is charged with one count of distribution and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony, punishable from one to five years in prison.

Miller was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives with the KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after observing Miller sharing images of child sexual exploitation online including images and video of prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Miller’s residence in Danville on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. Troopers from Post 7- Richmond assisted on scene. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s Forensic Laboratory for examination.

Miller was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
