(Booneville, KY) — The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, was called to Fairgrounds Road in Owsley County just after 10:30 p.m. Friday night, and are now conducting an investigation into what led to a man’s death.
The initial investigation alleges that Dustin Sparks, 25 years old of Sextons Creek in Clay County, was at a residence on Fairgrounds Road when he fatally stabbed Benjamin T. Brewer, 28 years old of Beattyville, following an argument.
Dustin Sparks was taken into custody following the incident and is now lodged in Three Forks Regional Jail, charged with Murder.
Benjamin Brewer died at the scene was pronounced deceased by the Lee County Coroner.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Jesse Armstrong.
