Domestic disturbance in Laurel County results in three arrests

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested three individuals on Saturday night December 5, 2015 at approximately 11:55 PM.

The arrests occurred off Robert E Cox Road, approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at Emma Place Apartments.

When deputies arrived at the scene they learned that a male subject had allegedly been causing a disturbance by arguing with his live-in girlfriend by yelling and screaming and throwing things.

Arrested was:

Anthony Popejoy age 36 of Robert E Cox Rd., Apartments, Corbin charged with disorderly conduct – second-degree.

Laticia Wood age 20 Robert E Cox Road Apartments, Corbin charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension – second-degree.  While deputies were conducting their investigation after a subject involved in the disturbance had fled the scene, this subject stated that only she and her boyfriend were present in the residence and she gave deputies a false name on her boyfriend. Further investigation by deputies determined that the subject's boyfriend, Bradley Walters was wanted on an active bench warrant of arrest.

Bradley Walters age 25 of Oak Grove Church Rd., Corbin charged on a Whitley County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, third-degree, first offense.

All three subjects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
