LSO arrests two individuals on charge of theft


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Deputy Jamie Grimes arrested two individuals on Monday night, December 7, 2015, at approximately 8:45 PM, approximately 6 miles south of London off KY 229.

The arrests were the result of an investigation conducted by the deputies after they were dispatched to a complaint that a male and female subject were apparently observed by Dollar Store personnel opening up merchandise in the Dollar Store and concealing the items in the female's purse.

The two individuals then left the store in a Dodge car and were located a short time later by Deputy Grimes approximately 4 miles from the store and following an investigation the two individuals were arrested. Total value of the theft was approximately $100.

Arrested was Melissa Pack, age 44, of Mullins Rd., London, charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting; operating on suspended operator's license; and other traffic violations.

Also arrested was David Osborne, age 51, of Mullins Rd., London charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting; operating on suspended operator's license; and other traffic violations.

Both individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
