Vehicle break in on KY 192 - Laurel County



Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Josh Scott is investigating a vehicle break-in which occurred on Sunday morning December 13, 2015 between 10 AM and 12:47 PM at Laurel Chapel Christian church parking lot on West Laurel Rd. approximately 3 miles west of London.

Apparently a female victim parked her vehicle in the church parking lot and while attending services there, an unknown individual forced entry into her white Ford Escape by breaking out the side window and stealing the victims purse which was laying in the floorboard of the vehicle.The victim's purse contained identification, credit cards, keys, and cash.

A possible suspect is described as a tall white male subject with dark hair wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt that had been seen in the parking lot earlier.

Anyone with any information concerning this theft is asked to contact the Laurel County Sheriff's office at 606-864-6600 or 606-878-7000. Information will be strictly confidential.

Sheriff Root stresses the importance of placing purses and other valuables in the trunk or out of sight of would be thieves, during this time of the year, and always.
