Arrest at restaurant's drive through in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested Solamon Williams age 32 of McKinley Lane, Keavy early Sunday morning December 13, 2015 at approximately 2:13 AM.

The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy., approximately 10 miles south of London after Deputy Jackson was dispatched to a complaint of a male subject creating a disturbance at a fast food restaurant's drive-thru, scaring employees and customers and refusing to leave.

When Deputy Jackson arrived at the scene he located this subject and conducted an investigation. Deputy Jackson noticed what appeared to be a weapon in this subject's possession concealed and after securing the weapon determined that although it appeared to be a black semi automatic handgun, it was in fact a BB gun.

Deputy Jackson determined also that this subject was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. He also determined that this subject had apparently been creating a disturbance with customers who were attempting to use the drive-through of the restaurant – allegedly cursing and creating a disturbance.

While being processed this subject attempted to attack Deputy Jackson but was brought under control.

Solamon Williams was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place; disorderly conduct – second degree; menacing; resisting arrest; and criminal trespassing – third-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
