*UPDATE* - Fatal Traffic Collision / Clay County

(LONDON, KY.) – On Friday, December 18, 2015 at approximately 5:15 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a two-vehicle fatal traffic collision around the 23 mile marker on the Hal Rogers Parkway in Clay County.

Upon arrival, Traffic Collision Reconstructionist Trooper Delzie Kelly determined that a 1995 Chevrolet Pick-up truck operated by Jason Gibson, 40, of Big Creek, KY was traveling westbound on the Parkway when he crossed the center-line and struck a 2013 Nissan Altima head-on, which was traveling eastbound being operated by Judy A. Pennington-Adams, 63, of Hyden, KY.

Judy A. Pennington-Adams was pronounced dead at the scene along with her two passengers Charlene L. Lewis, 59 and Tiffany A. Williams, 23, both of Hyden, KY by the Clay County Coroner’s Office.

Williams, was 8 months pregnant and her unborn child was also killed in the collision. Her 2 year old son a third passenger was flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he has been listed in critical condition.

Jason Gibson, was flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he has been listed in stable condition.

Alcohol and drug usage is suspected.

Trooper Kelly is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 11, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Coroner Danny Finley, Clay County EMS and Manchester Fire Department.

*UPDATE*  Two year old Kyson Williams passed away Saturday afternoon in Lexington.
