Lynn Camp Car Break-in Suspect Arrested in North Carolina

Knox County, KY - On November 20, 2015 at 5: 30 P.M. five vehicles in the Lynn Camp High School parking lot were broken into. Personal items including checkbooks and identification cards were taken.

On November 20, 2015 shortly before the Lynn Camp break-ins two vehicles in the Laurel County Home Health Care parking lot on US 25E at Lilly, KY were broken into. Personal items including checkbooks and identification cards were also taken from these vehicles.

On December 7, 2015 at 11:48 A.M. a female attempted to cash one of the stolen checks at a bank in London, KY.

A bank camera photographed the female and her picture was sent to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for possible identification. The photo was immediately posted on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook and information as to her identity began to be received. All lead information was checked and these individuals were eliminated as being her.

On December 22, 2015 the Forrest City North Carolina Police Department contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and advised that they had arrested a female who had attempted to cash a stolen North Carolina check. After arresting the female they located a driver license belonging to one of the victims from Lynn Camp and a driver license from one of the victims of the Laurel County Home Health Care. North Carolina Investigators found stolen checks, credit cards and driver licenses from other victims in London, KY and Louisville, KY. Also found in her possession were several wigs with receipts indicating they were purchased in Lexington, KY.

After talking with investigators in Forrest City, NC, mug shot photos were e-mailed to the Knox Sheriff’s Office which confirmed the person arrested in North Carolina was the same person in the London bank photo.

The female was identified as Anne Marie Clark age 44 of Deerfield Beach, FL. All indications suggest she has ties to a gang that travels the South Eastern US committing these type crimes.

Charges stemming from the Lynn Camp parking lot thefts will be forth coming against Anne Clark as the investigation continues.
