Vehicle thief caught in the act - Laurel County



Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at approximately 4:29 AM, Sgt Larry Parrott, responded to a complaint on Slate Lick Road approximately 4 miles north of London.

A homeowner had caught a subject attempting to steal his 2004 Chevrolet Pickup. The homeowner was able to keep the subject from leaving until Sgt. Parrott arrived.

Curtis B. Brewer, age 37 of London was arrested at the scene and charged with Burglary 1st, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Criminal Trespassing 3rd, and Menacing.

He was also charged on outstanding warrants for Parole Violation and a Bench Warrant issued out of Knox County. Further charges may be pending.
