Three-vehicle Fatal Traffic Crash - Wayne County

(LONDON, KY.) – On Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at approximately 7:32 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London, received a report of a fatal three-vehicle collision on KY 90 at the intersection of Frazer Chapel Road in Wayne County.

Upon arrival, Collision Reconstructionist KSP Detective Eric Moore determined that a 2000 Ford Mustang, operated by Taylor N. Brinson, 20, of Monticello, was traveling southbound on Frazer Chapel Road when she pulled into the path of a 2002 Peterbilt commercial vehicle, operated by Bruce W. Helton, 52, of Gray, KY, which was traveling westbound on KY 90.

After the initial impact, Brinson’s vehicle then traveled into the eastbound lane of KY 90 and struck a 2015 Volvo commercial vehicle, operated by Jerry M. Worley, 62, of Monticello, KY.

Brinson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner’s Office.

Helton and Worley were not injured during the collision.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected.

Detective Moore is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County EMS, Monticello Fire Department and the Kentucky Department of Transportation Office.
