(LONDON, KY.) – On Wednesday, January 06, 2016 at approximately 7:02 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a single-vehicle traffic collision with a fatality on Martin Cemetery Road in Clay County.
Upon arrival, Trooper Derrick Combs determined that a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, operated by Beachel Collett, 49, of Manchester, was traveling westbound on Martin Cemetery Road when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and overturned down an embankment before coming to a final rest in a creek.
Collett, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County Coroners Office.
Trooper Derrick Combs is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Manchester Fire Department and Clay County EMS.
