Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Corbin

(Corbin, KY) On Thursday, January 7th, 2016, at around 2 A.M., Officer Mike Hamblin with KSP-Vehicle Enforcement conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates located on US25E-Cumberland Gap Parkway in Corbin, Kentucky.

Upon investigation, Officer Hamblin found Theresa M. Hall, 26, of London was operating with an expired learners permit and had numerous other traffic related violations. After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, officers located marijuana, several types of paraphernalia pipes, syringe needles, zip lock bags, digital scales, 20-Xanax pills, 14-gabapentin pills, 19.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and a fully loaded 9mm pistol.

Officers arrested Hall, along with her passengers, Ryan E. Hall, 22, of London, and Randy E. Harrison, 26, of Barbourville.

Charges include Possession of a Handgun by convicted felon, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st-Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Controlled Substances, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Illegal Possession of Legend Drug, Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container and Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd degree.

All three offenders were arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
