UPDATE - "Victim Identified" / Death Investigation Continues After Body Found In Roadway In Prince George’s County, MD

(Upper Marlboro, MD) – Maryland State Police continue an investigation into the death of an unidentified deceased woman whose body was found lying in the roadway, northbound Route 301 near an overpass in Prince George’s County, last night.

The body is that of an adult female. Troopers are working to identify the individual and notify family before releasing her identification.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. last night, Maryland State Police from the Forestville Barrack responded to the area of northbound Route 301 near the exit ramp for Route 4 in Upper Marlboro and found a fully clothed, Caucasian female lying face down in the roadway. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Responding troopers contacted individuals who had been driving in the area and found the deceased body in the roadway. Troopers secured the scene and called for Maryland State Police crime scene technicians.

Investigators observed obvious trauma to the woman’s body. The body, which was clothed, has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

State police investigators from the Criminal Enforcement Division, Central Southern Region, along with troopers from the Forestville Barrack and the CRASH Team responded to the scene. Emergency responders from the Prince George’s County Fire Department also responded to assist.

U.S. 301 northbound was shut down at the southbound Maryland Route 4 exit ramp during the investigation. Traffic was diverted onto southbound Maryland Route 4 until the scene was cleared.

(Upper Marlboro, MD) – Maryland State Police have identified the deceased woman whose body was found lying in the roadway Saturday night, January 9, 2016 on northbound Route 301 in Prince George’s County.

The deceased is identified as Tiffany Storey, 33, of Upper Marlboro. Autopsy results indicate Storey’s cause of death was multiple injuries. The manner of death is still pending further investigation. The report also noted no signs of suspicious injury.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday night, January 9, 2016 Maryland State Police from the Forestville Barrack and the Criminal Enforcement Division, Central Southern Region, responded to northbound Route 301 near the exit ramp for Route 4 in Upper Marlboro. Storey was found fully clothed lying in the roadway. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.
