"You'll Be Bombed Every Day" - Bomb threat investigated in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Charlie Johnson along with Deputy Shawn Boroviak, Deputy Josh Scott, and Deputy Keith Dinsmore were dispatched by Laurel 911 Dispatch Center to a bomb threat at General Dynamics located on Old Whitley Road just south of London on Saturday morning January 9, 2016 at approximately 9:21 AM.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that a female subject had apparently phoned General Dynamics and left a message on a voice recorder there stating "you'll be bombed every day".

All employees were evacuated from the building. Deputies contacted Kentucky State Police requesting their dogs to assist on the search of the facility. Sgt. Jimmy Young and his K-9 Trace along with Trooper Brandon Eversole and his K-9 Bo responded to the scene to assist on the search of the facility. Following an extensive search, no bomb was located.

At approximately 2:15 PM., employees were able to reenter the facility.

Assisting on the investigation was Laurel County Volunteer Fire Department, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and Laurel County's Emergency Management Director Abby Hale. In addition, General Dynamics call center manager on duty and their senior contact manager provided assistance at the scene.

Investigation is continuing by the Laurel County Sheriff's office.
