Update: Kentucky State Police Investigate Break-In At Simpsonville Police Department

(Frankfort, Ky.) - All of the Simpsonville PD Officers were willing to take the Polygraph exam with the exception of two officers.

Simpsonville PD Officer Terry Putnam was one of the two officers who refused to take a Polygraph.

The investigation is still on going by the Kentucky State Police Post 12, Frankfort.

(Frankfort, Ky.) - An arrest has been made in the Simpsonville Police Department Burglary. Simpsonville PD Officer Terry Putnam age 54, of Simpsonville is charged with Burglary 1st, Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $10,000, Theft By Unlawful Taking Firearm (2 counts), Criminal Mischief 1st, Theft By Unlawful Taking Controlled Substance, Official Misconduct, and Tampering With Physical Evidence.

The investigation is still on going by the Kentucky State Police Post 12, Frankfort.

Kentucky State Police Investigate Break-In At Simpsonville Police Department

Date of News Release: 11/06/2015

(Frankfort, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort is investigating a break-in at the Simpsonville Police Department. KSP Post 12 was notified of the break-in at approximately 1:00 a.m. on November 06, 2015 by the Simpsonville Police Chief. An unknown person or persons entered the police department, broke into evidence lockers and stole approximately $30,000 in cash, an unknown quantity of narcotics and handguns.

A complete evidence audit is being conducted by the Simpsonville Police Department.

The investigation into the theft is continuing by Kentucky State Police Post 12.
