Attempted Armed Robbery by a Masked Bandit - Laurel, County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Charlie Loomis is investigating an attempted armed robbery which occurred at Saddlebrook Dollar Store on Ky 192 just west of London on Thursday night January 14, 2016 at approximately 9:40 PM.

The investigating detective reports that apparently a lone male subject entered the store going straight to the cashiers desk where some customers were checking out, and behind the counter was the assistant manager and a clerk. The male subject who had on a hoodie and bandanna concealing his identity and implying that he had a weapon concealed on him demanded money.

The assistant manager immediately picked up the phone calling 911 while the suspect inferred that he was reaching for a weapon. The suspect is described as a male subject, approximately 5'10" to 6', thin build, wearing a dark gray hoodie and a blue bandanna, and blue jeans. No weapon was ever produced.
