Clay County native and Korean War Veteran Sam Hipsher passes away



Mr. Sam Hipsher, age 84 of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Clay County, departed this life on Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born on Saturday, June 20, 1931, in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of John and Ethel Pennington Hipsher. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he worked as an engineer, and also worked at Norwood Manufacturing.

He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter: Karen D. Hipsher, his sons: Anthony and Sam, 3 grandchildren: Ryan, Jordyn, and Channing. Also his special niece Mechelle Fair of Manchester, KY.

He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Ethel Hipsher, his wife: Katie Hipsher, and these brothers and sisters: Lawrence Pennington, Theowille Hipsher, Leila Hipsher, Mildred Hipsher, Thelma Hipsher, Nelle Hipsher, Joyce Fullwood, Bruce Hipsher, Jack Hipsher, and Barbara Ann Hipsher Fair.

Graveside Services for Mr. Sam Hipsher will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 12 PM at the Hipsher Cemetery in Manchester.
