Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Robbie Grimes was dispatched by Laurel 911 Communication's Center to a reported robbery and assault which allegedly occurred at a residence off Bryant's Way, approximately 2 miles west of London on Wednesday afternoon January 27, 2016 at approximately 4 PM.
A 36 year old female victim reported that a female subject apparently physically took her purse off her shoulder while shoving and kicking her.
The suspect allegedly removed cash and a cell phone from her purse and left the scene along with four other individuals in a green Ford Explorer and a another unknown vehicle.
The victim can identify the suspects involved.
Investigation will be continuing by Sheriff's Detective Charlie Loomis.
