Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Jamie Grimes along with Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Micki Grubb age 41 of Spring St., London on Friday afternoon January 29, 2016 at approximately 2:30 PM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they learned that this subject had allegedly been observed shoplifting in the amount of $399.70.
In addition, deputies determined that this subject was under the influence – this subject stated she had taken Neurontin. In addition, this subject was later found in possession of a prescription container underneath her undergarments containing drugs that she did not have a prescription for including Neurontin, Hydrocodone, Xanax, and Klonopin.
Micki Grubb was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting; public intoxication – controlled substances; two counts of prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense.
In addition, this subject was wanted on two outstanding warrants from Laurel District Court on charges of failure to appear in court.
Micki Grubb was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
