Disturbance call in Laurel County lands three behind bars

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested three individuals off Maple Grove School Road, approximately 5 miles west of London early Tuesday morning February 2, 2016 at approximately 2:05 AM.

The arrest occurred after Deputy Jackson was dispatched to a complaint of a possible disturbance there.

When Deputy Jackson arrived at the scene he encountered a male subject outside that appeared to be under the influence. This subject advised he had been involved in an altercation at his friend's house next door.

Deputy Jackson arrested Dustin Holland age 29 of Middle Ground Way, London charging him with public intoxication – controlled substances. This subject advised that he had taken Neurontin and some bad stuff which he stated he did not know what it was but he smoked it.

As Deputy Jackson continued his investigation he determined a female subject there was wanted on a warrant of arrest – Kayla Holland age 26 of Maple Grove School Rd., London was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and possession of marijuana.

A third person arrested at the scene was identified as Christopher Hoskins age 36 of Maple Grove School Rd., London charged with public intoxication – controlled substances -- this subject stated that he and the others had been doing some bad dope and stated he was referring to meth and bath salts.

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
