KSP, Richmond Post, Activity for January 2016

Richmond, KY -- The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of January, 2016.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,048 citations, which included 111 for speeding, 2 for no child restraint and 71 for no seatbelts. There were 21 people arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Troopers issued 249 courtesy notices, assisted 90 stranded motorists, and investigated 55 traffic collisions while inspecting 717 vehicles. Detectives and Troopers also responded to and investigated 921 complaints, opened 44 criminal cases, and made 135 criminal arrests.
