Out of control male subject complaint - Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Travis Napier arrested a Keavy resident early Wednesday morning February 17, 2016 at approximately 6:37 AM.

Arrested was:  Daniel Witt age 23 Baker Ridge Road, Keavy, KY.

The arrest occurred off Baker Ridge Road, approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was out of control there.

When deputies arrived at the residence this subject ran into a bathroom and attempted to lock himself inside however deputies were able to gain access and following a short scuffle with deputies was taken into custody. During the struggle with deputies this subject swallowed a pill.

As this subject was being escorted to the police car he continued to yell and curse at his family and at deputies at the scene.

Daniel Witt was charged with disorderly conduct – second-degree; menacing; resisting arrest; tampering with physical evidence; and public intoxication – controlled substances. In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest charging probation revocation regarding a charge of theft by unlawful taking.

Daniel Witt was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
