(Louisville, Ky.) — On February 18, 2016, at approximately 9:00 P.M., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by Post 5- Campbellsburg, arrested two subjects on charges related to possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Arrested was Anthony L. Crockett, 56, and John D. Pierce, 39. Crockett and Pierce were arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspects advertising images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Crockett’s and Pierce’s residence, which they share, on February 18, 2016. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Crockett is currently charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Pierce is charged with one count of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.
Both men were lodged at Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
