Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that is Deputy Travis Napier arrested Mary Beth Huff age 39 of Underpass Road, Lily early Sunday morning February 21, 2016 at approximately 12:10 AM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.
When Deputy Napier arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed selecting merchandise in jewelry, placing rings on her finger and a necklace around her neck and removing the price tags and attempted to leave the store without paying – total value of the merchandise was over $122.
Mary Beth Huff was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and was lodged in Laurel County Detention Center.
