KSP make Drug Arrest in Harlan County


Gulston, Ky. – On February 22, 2016 at 9:05 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received information about an individual manufacturing methamphetamine and also selling drugs in the Gulston community of Harlan County.

Tpr. James Earl Hensley and Tpr. Jonathon Carlock responded to the residence and spoke with the owner of the residence.

While Tpr. Carlock was speaking to the owner of the residence, Tpr. Hensley walked to the back of the residence and located Paul Muncy, 29, of Gulston, in the process of manufacturing a one-step meth lab. During a search of the residence trooper’s located a small amount of marijuana, syringes, and other drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Muncy was arrested and charged with the following:

  • 1. Manufacturing Methamphetamine
  • 2. Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor 1st degree
  • 3. Drug Paraphernalia
  • 4. Possession of Marijuana

    Mr. Muncy was lodged into the Harlan County Detention Center. Case is still under investigation by Tpr. James Earl Hensley.
