KSP, Richmond Post, Activity for February 2016

(Richmond, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of February, 2016.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,436 citations, which included 179 for speeding, 3 for no child restraint and 118 for no seatbelts. There were 26 people arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Troopers issued 264 courtesy notices, assisted 83 stranded motorists, and investigated 67 traffic collisions while inspecting 872 vehicles. Detectives and Troopers also responded to and investigated 940 complaints, opened 62 criminal cases, and made 170 criminal arrests.
