Booster seat giveaway in Manchester

Manchester, KY - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that MPD and the Cumberland Valley ADD Board have partnered together to give away 30 booster seats for children that are currently needing to transition into a booster seat.

The booster seat giveaway will be at the Manchester Police Department on Friday March 4, 2016 between 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.

Individuals will be showed on how to properly install booster seats in their vehicle.

House bill 315 requires that children younger than 8 or under 57 inches tall to be secured in a booster seat.

Boosters are intended to lift the child up off the vehicle seat to improve the fit of the adult lap and shoulder seatbelt.
