What a man found passed out in driver's seat of vehicle with engine running told LSO Deputies


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Deputy Travis Napier arrested Jeffery Elliott age 46 of Dow Atkins Road, Corbin early Friday morning March 11, 2016 at approximately 5:27 AM.

The arrest occurred off Thoroughbred Trail, approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject sitting in a maroon colored Ford F-350 playing music very loud and creating a disturbance there.

When deputies arrived at the scene they could hear the music and observed the driver passed out in the driver's seat of the vehicle with the engine running.

After approximately 2 minutes, deputies were able to get the driver to wake up and exit the pickup.  They conducted an investigation and determined that he was under the influence. This subject stated he had smoked methamphetamine, marijuana, taken Roxy 30s and stated that he was on other dope.

Deputies found this subject in possession of digital scales and a glass pipe.

Jeffery Elliott was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; operating a suspended or revoked operators license; failure to wear seatbelts; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jeffery Elliott was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
