Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested a male subject of Hicks Lane, London, on Sunday night, March 13, 2016, at approximately 7:15 PM.
Arrested was Carl Helton, age 54. The arrest occurred off Osborne Lane, approximately 3 miles west of London while Deputy Cloyd was assisting KSP Trooper Ben Graves on an arrest of an escapee that was reportedly there.
Deputy Cloyd checked this subject's ID and learned that he was wanted on two Laurel County bench warrants of arrest – one for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of possession of a controlled substance, and the other for failure to appear in court regarding numerous traffic violations.
