Complaint - 2 small children found outside a Laurel County residence with one being unclothed

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy John Inman along with Sgt. Brett Reeves and Sheriff John Root, Capt. Chuck Johnson, and Lieut. Greg Poynter arrested two individuals off Kentucky Hollow Road, approximately 3 miles north of London early Tuesday morning March 16, 2016 at approximately 12:38 PM.

The arrests occurred after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that 2 small children had been found outside a residence by the homeowners at approx. 8:30 A.M. and the homeowners did not know the children.

When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they learned that the two female children ages two and four were found outside a residence. The two-year-old was unclothed.

Deputies attempted to locate the children's parents, and following an extensive search in the area located the biological mother approximately 1 mile away in her residence asleep with her boyfriend. Deputies also noted the deplorable living conditions in the residence and found drug paraphernalia inside the residence in plain view.

Arrested was:

  • Sarah Powell age 25 of Kentucky Hollow Rd., East Bernstadt charged with endangering the welfare of a minor; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Sean Bosch age 28 of Kentucky Hollow Rd., East Bernstadt charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • The two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
