Suspicious female complaint results in Clay County woman jailed in London

LONDON, KY—LPD is reporting that on Saturday, March 26th, London Police responded to a suspicious female complaint at 8:30 P.M. at K&K Storage on Tobacco Road in London that led to the arrest of a Clay County resident.

Officer Greg Turner, Officer Wagers, Jeremy Shell, and Sgt. Richie Reynolds responded to the call and were notified that the female was attempting to open the storage facility’s gate and was talking to herself in a strange manner.

When officers spoke with the female, identified as Jessielene Wagers, 42, of Manchester, she reportedly was acting hyper and her eyes were constricted.

When asked if she had taken any drugs, Wagers became nervous. She then refused to give consent to officers to search her vehicle. Officer Turner’s K-9 Tyson walked around the exterior of the vehicle and alerted to the driver’s side door to the odor of narcotics.

Officer Turner and Officer Shell searched Wagers’ vehicle and located a small baggie containing methamphetamine residue under the driver’s seat. Also located was a large envelope containing papers and pantyhose in the passenger’s seat. Four needles were discovered within the pantyhose.

Jessielene Wagers, 42, of Manchester,KY was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance of the first offense. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
