Students From Knox County High School Visit Post 10 Harlan

(Harlan, Ky.) – On March 31, 2016 ten students from Knox County Central High School visited Post 10 Harlan to learn more about the Kentucky State Police.

Commander of Post 10, Captain P.J. Burnett spoke with the students about the structure of KSP and role of being a supervisor. Students also received information about arson investigation and detective skills from Det. Josh Bunch. Tpr. Michael Cornett spoke to the students about accident reconstruction and highway safety. Finally, Ray Day, telecommunicator supervisor, spoke with everyone about the role and duties of a dispatcher.

The ten students then received a tour of Post 10 before leaving and looking into a KSP cruiser.
