Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Robbie Grimes arrested an East Laurel Road resident on Wednesday night April 6, 2016 at approximately 7:24 P.M.
Arrested was Curtis Hatfield age 39 of an East Laurel Road, London, KY.
The arrest occurred off Marydell Road, approximately 9 miles east of London after Sgt. Grimes was called to investigate a theft which had occurred there.
When Sgt. Grimes arrived at the scene he learned that this subject had driven his blue colored Toyota Camry to the victim's residence and allegedly unlawfully removed a chainsaw from a toolbox owned by the victim and placed it inside his vehicle.
Curtis Hatfield was charged with theft by unlawful taking; and numerous traffic violations including operating on suspended or revoked operator' license.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Curtis Hatfield was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
