DUI hit and run in Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray arrested a male subject of Wren Road, London, on Sunday night, April 17, 2016, at approximately 6:42 PM.

Arrested was Justin Combs, age 32.  The arrest occurred on Jackson Fariston Road, approximately 4 miles south of London after this subject who was driving a gray colored Mitsubishi Eclipse was allegedly involved in a non-injury traffic crash – this subject apparently was trying to go around a curve and hit a guardrail head-on.

This subject left the scene in his vehicle traveling back down Jackson Fariston Road where Deputy Gray made contact with the vehicle and this subject and conducted an investigation determining that this subject was under the influence – this subject admitted he had taken Suboxone and hydrocodone pills earlier.

Justin Combs was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; leaving the scene of an accident; failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense; operating on suspended or revoked operators license; failure to wear seatbelts; careless driving; disregarding a stop sign; improper turning; and numerous other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
