Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested a female subject of Laurel Whitley Rd., Corbin, on Thursday night, April 21, 2016, at approximately 9:39 PM.
Arrested was Michelle Jones, age 45. The arrest occurred on US 25 approximately 5 miles south of London after Deputy Cloyd was dispatched to a traffic crash there.
When Deputy Cloyd arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, he learned that this subject had allegedly been driving a gray colored Jeep Grand Cherokee that had crossed the centerline and struck another vehicle. Three out of four passengers in the other vehicle were transported to the hospital with various injuries.
Deputy Cloyd conducted an investigation on this subject determining that she was under the influence.
Michelle Jones was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
