Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Sgt. Larry Parrott, Deputy Brandon Broughton, and Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested a male subject of South Wind St., London, on Wednesday evening, April 27, 2016, at approximately 8:25 PM.
Arrested was Eric Lee Smith, age 36. The arrest occurred off Braxton Lane, approximately 7 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint about several people fighting outside a residence there.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they located this subject outside the residence and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence. Deputies also learned that this subject had allegedly pushed his girlfriend down after they had been arguing.
Eric Lee Smith was charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence; public intoxication – control substances; and disorderly conduct – second-degree.
