Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Jamie Grimes along with Deputy Rick Cloyd and Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested Melody Napier age 51 of Chaney Ridge Rd., London on Friday evening April 29, 2016 at approximately 6:29 PM.
The arrest occurred on Echo Valley Road, approximately 7 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a silver colored Chevrolet truck on the side of the road and the driver appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they determined that this subject was under the influence.
Melody Napier was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; license to be in possession; failure to wear seatbelts; failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense; and another traffic violation.
In addition, this subject was wanted on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on numerous traffic violations.
Melody Napier was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
