Clay County, KY - Jackson Energy is reporting that on Monday afternoon, problems with a transmission line resulted in the loss of power to three substations in Clay County: Goose Rock, Oneida and Big Creek. This outage impacted almost 4,000 members in Clay County.
According to the Jackson Energy Facebook page, power has been restored to the Big Creek and Goose Rock substations. Repairs need to be made to a transmission line and operations personnel estimate that it will be approximately 3 hours before service is restored to members served by the Oneida substation.
About 1,000 members remain without service. Please plan accordingly. We will restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
