Goose Rock man nabbed by MPD after leaving accident scene


Manchester, KY - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that on May 6, 2016 at approximately 8:30 a.m. Assistant Chief Patrick Robinson was dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Poplar Street and Wayne Street.

Upon arrival Assistant Chief Robinson discovered a 1992 Chevrolet Lumina in the ditch with the motor running and the car still in gear.

Witnesses stated that the occupants had ran from the scene. Assistant Chief Robinson discovered the driver of the vehicle trying to go inside a residence on Wayne Street.

The driver of the vehicle Timothy Gilbert Jones of Goose Rock was severally under the influence and was placed under arrest.

Timothy Gilbert Jones was charged with DUI 2nd offense, driving with a DUI suspended operators license, disregarding a stop sign, and possession of a controlled substance. Timothy Gilbert Jones also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
