Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Rachel Doan age 34 of MJB Dr., Corbin on Tuesday night May 3, 2016 at approximately 10:48 PM.
The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy., approximately 10 miles south of London after Deputy Houston was dispatched to a complaint of a subject inside a business acting strange and that appeared to be under the influence.
When Deputy Houston arrived at the scene he located this subject inside a silver Dodge Neon and conducted an investigation. This subject stated that she had been up all night at a nursing home and was extremely tired. This subject stated she had taken Oxycodone Neurotin and Oxymorphine. Deputy Houston determined that this subject was under the influence.
Rachel Doan was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance – first offense; failure to wear seatbelts; failure of nonowner operator to maintain required insurance – first offense; and numerous other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
