Georgia fugitive arrested in Laurel County


London, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested a male subject of Adams Rd., Corbin, on Friday night, May 6, 2016, at approximately 8:18 PM.

The arrest occurred on American Greeting Card Road, approximately 9 miles south of London after this subject was stopped on a traffic violation driving a gray colored Volkswagen.

During the traffic stop, Deputy Cloyd learned that this subject was a wanted fugitive wanted out of Georgia and when told he was under arrest, this subject fled on foot and following a short foot chase and a short scuffle with Deputy Cloyd this subject was placed under arrest.

Bobby Wisner was charged on a fugitive warrant from the state of Georgia that advised they would extradite. This subject was wanted by Murray County Sheriff's office, Chatsworth, Georgia.

Also, Deputy Cloyd charged this subject with fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot; resisting arrest; and traffic violations.
