LSO make Wanton Endangerment arrest


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston along with Sgt. Larry Parrott and Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested Georgia man early Thursday morning May 12, 2016 at approximately 1:56 AM.

Arrested was: Cornelius Dixon age 39 Of Rivers Rd., Fayetteville, GA.

The arrest occurred at Pilot Service Station off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy., approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject in a white Dodge Ram pickup pulling a box trailer allegedly pointed a gun at a truck driver.

When deputies arrived at the scene they located the Dodge Ram pickup on the parking lot and had the driver exit his vehicle where deputies found a .357 revolver on this subject's hip.

Deputies secured the weapon, conducted an investigation and interviewed witnesses. The deputies learned that this subject had allegedly gotten into a verbal argument with a truck driver over a parking spot. At some point during the argument allegedly this subject pulled a firearm and pointed it at the truck driver.

Cornelius Dixon was charged with wanton endangerment – first-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
