LONDON KY—On Monday, May 16th London Police arrived at 1032 East Laurel Road to serve a warrant on a London man and discovered more than the fact that he failed to appear to court.
He not only was in possession of drugs and a firearm, but also was involved in a burglary at the Wildcat Flea Market. When Det. Sgt. Gary Proffitt and Joe Smith arrived at the residence, the subject attempted to walk away.
Through a search of the subject incident to arrest, police located a 45 caliber Hi-point pistol within his front waistband. Also found was a pill bottle with one Xanax and a bag containing methamphetamine in his left front pants pocket.
Arrested was Ricky D. Gross, 30, of London, KY.
During an interview at the London Police Department, Gross admitted to being involved in a burglary at the Wildcat Flea Market that occurred on May 5th, 2016.
Gross was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of firearm by convicted felon, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
