Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Charlie Johnson arrested Bridget Caldwell age 32 of Elza Rd., London on Saturday night May 21, 2016 at approximately 10:15 PM.
The arrest occurred off Elza Road approximately 3 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that allegedly this subject's boyfriend and other people were trying to break into her residence and were threatening to kill her with a hatchet.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they determined that this complaint was unfounded. In addition, this subject appeared to be manifestly intoxicated on drugs.
When arrested this subject started screaming and cursing and creating a disturbance in the area. This subject also kicked the protective screen and doors of the police car and upon arrival at the jail refused to exit the police car and had to be physically removed from the police car.
Bridget Caldwell was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; falsely reporting an incident; disorderly conduct – second-degree. This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
