Terroristic Threatening and other charges - Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Constable Chris Webb arrested a Sasser Road, resident on Monday night May 23, 2016 at approximately 10:14 PM.

Arrested was:

Jimmy Caldwell age 31 of Sasser Road, London, KY

The arrest occurred on North Laurel Road, approximately 1 mile north of London after officers were dispatched to a complaint that a subject was on North 25, intoxicated walking in traffic.

When Sgt. Parrott arrived at the scene he located this subject partially in the roadway near a business and determined that this subject was intoxicated – this subject had a hard time staying balanced and stated that he had drank several drinks and was drunk.

This subject was arrested and placed in the police cruiser and on the way to the detention facility began to threaten to kill Sgt. Parrott or have him killed. This subject then began to bang his head on the protective screen in the police cruiser.

Upon arrival at the detention facility this subject had to be physically removed from the police cruiser and lunged at several officers in a threatening manner when he was removed. This subject continued to curse and threaten all officers present. This subject stated he was a member of some type of cartel that killed police officers.

Jimmy Caldwell was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place; menacing; disorderly conduct – second degree; resisting arrest; and terroristic threatening – third-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
