UPDATE - "Golden Alert" issued for a Laurel County man


Update: This individual has been located. Golden Alert cancelled.

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: a Golden Alert has been issued for a missing 25-year-old male who has anger issues and requires medication.

William Cody Cox, age 25, of Barbourville Road, London was last seen yesterday afternoon (Saturday, June 4th, 2016) at approximately 2 P.M. at his home on KY-229, 3 miles south of London when he left walking toward London following a dispute. He may be going to either Middlesboro or Harlan.

Deputy Shawn Jackson is investigating and has identified the missing individual as William Cody Cox age 25, of Barbourville Road, London, KY - Described as a 6' 220 pound white male with brown eyes, brown hair above the ears, wearing a black t-shirt with Kroger written on it, kaki shorts and possibly two tone shoes.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of this individual is asked to contact the Laurel County Sheriff's office at 606-864-6600 or 606-878-7000. Deputy Shawn Jackson continues to investigate.
