LONDON POLICE ARREST MAN FOR METH WHO LEFT SCENE OF ACCIDENT ON EAST 4TH STREET


LONDON KY—On Saturday, June 4th London Police were called to a single vehicle accident on East 4th Street where the driver and a passenger had left the scene on foot.

Through investigation, Shawn L. Holt, 28, of McKee was arrested.

When Ofc. Jacob Bormann and Ofc. Jordan Hopkins arrived at the scene of the accident where a vehicle had hit a brick mailbox, they noticed Holt walking along Old 472 Spur road. Officers stated that Holt was out of breath and was bruised from the Shawn Holtaccident. When asked about the accident Holt responded that he was not involved in an accident--although, a witness had taken a photo of him and the passenger leaving the scene.

Police searched the vehicle and found a clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle, in plain sight.

Holt was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and third-degree terroristic threatening.

He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
