Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Shannon Jones along with Constable Chris Webb arrested Ora Angel age 72 of Fariston Rd., London on Sunday night June 12, 2016 at approximately 11:06 PM.
The arrest occurred on Levi Road, approximately 3 miles south of London after officers received a domestic violence complaint on this subject allegedly trying to kick the door in on a residence.
As officers approached the area of the complaint they observed this subject's brown colored Ford minivan leaving the scene. Officers attempted a traffic stop however the vehicle refused to stop and traveled for almost 1 mile before stopping.
When stopped, officers observed this subject with a knife but were able to secure it after a brief conversation with this subject. Ora Angel was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence - first offense; fleeing or evading police – second degree – motor vehicle; wanton endangerment – second degree – police officer is victim; and other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
